This is the time of year when you are guaranteed bargains from the leading Birmingham high street stores. Many shopping centres such as the Bullring at the heart of Birmingham have some amazing sales on with up to 75% off normal prices. Many of the retailers are opening earlier than normal to accommodate higher number of customers with some leading retailers opening as early as 5am.
The VAT cut has helped bring many prices down but many of the leading retailers are cutting prices further to help clear stock that as failed to sell due to poor trading conditions through November and December. However, trading is increasing with VISA reporting up to 700 transactions per second at one point.
