Birmingham lady finds treasure in Israel

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

With us being based in the heart of Birmingham, we like to bring you interesting news regarding Birmingham. Well, one of our city dwellers found almost 300 solid 24-carat gold coins. The coins date back to the 7th Century and were discovered at a dig just outside Jerusalem’s Old City. Amazingly the lady in question found them under a large rock in a car park.
Not bad for an amateur British archaeologist who was volunteering. What’s more, it was the last week of her stay in Israel when she discovered the treasure. She commented on what an very exciting find she exposed.

Birmingham New Street to be revamped

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Last year Transport Secretary Ruth Kelly revealed that almost £400m of the government money will be poured into revamping Birmingham’s rundown New Street Station.
Recently our Prime Minister, Gordon Brown visited Birmingham as part of a three day tour of England and Wales and also vowed to support the redevelopment of Birmingham’s New Street Station, which has been estimated to cost £598m.
He also commended Birmingham for its fortitude and “strong business spirit”.
The revamp will be a great opportunity for Birmingham because the station is a major strategic rail junction for the country. The revamped station will offer a bright, modern 21st Century transport hub for Birmingham and the West Midlands region.
If you’re planning a trip out of town and want to get to the station on time and in class. Book one of our superb limo’s for that superstar treatment that you know you deserve.

Birminghams shopping bargains

Monday, December 29th, 2008

This is the time of year when you are guaranteed bargains from the leading Birmingham high street stores. Many shopping centres such as the Bullring at the heart of Birmingham have some amazing sales on with up to 75% off normal prices. Many of the retailers are opening earlier than normal to accommodate higher number of customers with some leading retailers opening as early as 5am.

The VAT cut has helped bring many prices down but many of the leading retailers are cutting prices further to help clear stock that as failed to sell due to poor trading conditions through November and December. However, trading is increasing with VISA reporting up to 700 transactions per second at one point.

The only problem with this can be parking! We would suggest limo hire is the perfect solution for your parking blues in Birmingham city centre.

Make sure you get a slice of the action!

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

As well as all the presents and parties which are associated with the festive period, many people eagerly anticipate the football programme during this time and with our local sides doing so well, this year this excitement will be exemplified.

Both Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers will be hoping that the festive period allows them to strengthen their lead at the top of the Championship table and with the Premier League very much a possibility, there can be no greater incentive.

The two sides also meet each other in the Third Round of the F A Cup in the first week of January and this is set to be one of the ties of the round with both teams looking for an extended run in the competition to boost their financial status. We did of course see what can happen in this wonderful competition last year when Cardiff City made it to the showpiece final at Wembley Stadium. There is no reason why this cannot be repeated in 2009 and both Birmingham and Wolves will hope that they will be representing the Championship come the middle of May.

These are certainly very exciting times for football within the West Midlands and we would strongly suggest that you take in as much of the action as you can. There can be no better way to do this than to invest at some of the wonderful hospitality which these clubs have to offer and the addition of limo hire will not only accentuate the memorable nature of the event but will also make you feel like football celebrities yourselves!
