Chris Martin of Coldplay has some ‘bizarre’ rituals prior to a gig
Coldplay are one of the nation’s favourite bands and every date they announce is a sell out. The band is due to play in the UK in September and the band will be arriving as normal to each of their concerts in limo-hire, as seems to be the tradition with most major names appearing in concert.
Currently Coldplay are playing at venues across the USA including New York and they are set to hit the UK in September appearing at venues in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin with a possible date to be announced in Birmingham.
Another additional tour date which has just been announced is at Glasgow’s Hampden Park for Wednesday 16th September.
Coldplay are one of the most successful bands of the decade having sold well over 30 million albums across the globe.
Apart from his love of stretch limousines which he likes to arrive in for every concert, the band’s singer Chris Martin also admitted that before he heads for the stage at each live concert he has a bizarre ritual which he is compelled to perform. He said: “I have to brush my teeth before I go on stage, otherwise I don’t feel smart enough.”
For those Coldplay fans who have tickets to see the band later this year and who want to take a leaf out of Chris Martin’s book arriving to his concert in a limousine, then it is advisable to arrange limo-hire in advance to avoid any disappointment on the day.
